I used to run the my High School Theatre with my brother. I ran all lights and he ran sound. We used to enjoy the shows and outside companies that used the theatre for their own shows. My brother went on to work in the Theatre Tech Field, working at such lustrous places like Disneyland’s Fantasmic show and having his own high school theatre to run and do with as he felt.

I miss working in theatre and designing all the lights and when to bring up what and what lights work best in what mood. I wasn’t only showing the actors, I set the mood and the feeling of the moment. With Dances, I helped provide the mood and energy of the music.

With that in mind I found the They provide kits to turn your Home Halloween and Holiday lights able to be controlled and programmed for a show. One such kit is described below:

Bring Your Trees and Columns to Life This Christmas!

Like everyone else, you probably have plans to hang Christmas lights this year. But how would you like to have the light display that everyone envies?
You can do it with the The Christmas Kit, a plug-and-play light controller that enables you to turn ordinary light hangings on vertical structures such as indoor Christmas trees, outdoor evergreens, large tree trunks, or the columns of a home or building into highly entertaining light shows. The Christmas Kit Music Synchronization Box enables you to broadcast holiday music that is in perfect rhythm with your lighting effects. You can animate just one object, a small group, or include an unlimited number of trees or columns with the Christmas Kit Expansion Controller.
Whatever option you choose, it’s all plug and play. No programming required!

What’s really cool is the of what others have done with their equipment.

I would love to buy a 48 channel kit and just put on a show with my house. I’m very tempted to do it and would probably do it if it wasn’t for the costs. What I plan to do is purchase the programming software and design a show for my home. Then buy controllers bit by bit.

The Show Software is What is really cool. You can take a picture of your home and then in the program design the light show on the program to music. From there you would connect your computer to the controllers that control the channels which each channel is connected to a select light feature of your house, such as the light for the Santa Clause Figure. In the program that channel is set to turn on at a certain time of a song and the computer controls all of that.

If you don’t want to have your computer control the lights you can buy a Monster Brain that will store all the programing and cycle through it as you want it to. Other add-ons are Sound System created for outside, Expansion pack to add more channels, FM Transmitter so that the visitors in cars can tune to a certain FM channel on their radios and listen to the music of the show, and there are even plug in kits that you don’t need to program at all.

This is something that I would consider to use for small theatre shows.

But I got to get my wife to ok all this first and with the movie , she thinks I’m going to go over board a bit.
